Polo Tuition at Ascot Park Polo Club

Join us for a unique and unforgettable day at Ascot Park Polo Club where you will have the opportunity to learn to play Polo as well as watching professionals play the game at full speed. This is a fantastic participation activity as well as a fascinating spectator sport. Guests do not need any previous riding experience to learn to play polo, just a sense of fun and adventure. Our professional team have developed a proven formula for fun and safety and are helping to dispel some of the myths surrounding polo.

Your day will be tailored to suit your guests and includes sumptuous hospitality. Ascot Park is easily located close to Junction 3 on the M3, 40 minutes from London.

Learning to Play Polo Activities

Crates Standing on crates, practice the polo swing without worrying about the horse.
Theory Discussion on team tactics and positional plays using a board and miniature men and horses.
Horses Mounted on very quiet, safe horses to practice initially the riding then the hitting of the ball under instruction.
Short Sticks Using short polo sticks play a game on your feet to practice team tactics.

Full Day Polo Tuition Package Sample Itinerary

09h30 Registration - Meet in the Marquee for Coffee, Danish, Juice, Newspapers
10h15 Introduction to the day - meet the instructors and divide into 3 groups
10h30 The fun starts - the groups are rotated through 12.00 noon the disciplines of learning to play polo, including Crates, Theory, Horses and Short Sticks.
12h30 Chukka Challenge - teams play a ‘mini game’
with an instructor
13h30 Seasonal two course luncheon in the Marquee
with wines, beer and soft drinks
14h45 Exhibition Match - Polo Club members and
professionals play the game at full speed.
Wine and beer served throughout.
16h00 Afternoon Tea and Champagne Prizegiving
for Chukka Challenge and Exhibition matches.
16h45 Guests depart.
