The Cheltenham National Hunt Festival features
the ‘Ladbrokes World Hurdle Race’ on Thursday
12th March 2009, known as Ladies Day. The World Hurdle is
a Grade 1 National Hunt hurdle race for 4 year olds and above.
The race is run over a distance of 3 miles on the new course
at the Cheltenham Festival. In 2009 Inglis Drever looks to
be the favourite with good opposition from Wichita Lineman
who will be a strong contender.
Ladies Day announced in 2007 looks to attract
the crowds this year, with the Thursday of the Cheltenham
Festival being designated as ‘Ladies Day’, with
the aim of celebrating the exceptional contribution made by
ladies throughout the sport of Jump racing.
For the three hours before racing and the hour
and a half after the last race, there is time to enjoy the
Festival atmosphere in one of our many hospitality suites
in prime locations. Invite your guest and be envied by most
and furnish them with a true memory of this historic event
at the Cheltenham Festival National Hunt.
