In 2009 a new race has been introduced on the Sunday to further strengthen the weekend. The Connaught Chase is a 2 mile level weight race and has attracted Queen Mother Champion Chase winner MasterMinded, who always draws a crowd. In 2009 the race was won by Well Chief who was returning from injury, with MasterMinded third.

We have full hospitality packages for marquees and boxes and availability on our steam train transfer on all days. If you already have tickets, you could consider using the steam train. This is the best way to get to the Festival. It arrives at the back of the Grandstand and you miss all the traffic and chaos in the car parks after racing.

As a result of its popularity, we now run our steam train on the Friday and Saturday of the meeting and offer hospitality in various locations to suit all budgets. We are in the enviable position of also having a couple of Grandstand boxes available for those who can make their booking early, as these are very difficult to get hold of for any of the feature meetings.
So why not have a perfect day by setting off from Toddington in our steam train for a 35 minute ride through the Cotswolds straight to the back of the Grandstand, take your seat in one of our hospitality facilities and entertain your guests at this up and coming meeting.
The Open Meeting in November has now become the second Cheltenham Festival. It has grown in popularity over the last few years and the feature race on the Saturday, The Paddy Power Gold Cup, won in 2008 by Imperial Commander and Tranquil Sea in 2009. It is a handicap over 2m 5f which is always very competitive and therefore attracts a lot of betting interest.
