The Open Golf Championship in 2011 is once again being staged at the magnificent Royal St George’s Golf Club in Sandwich, Kent. The competition returns to the course for the 14th time and Royal St George’s is rightly proud of its reputation for hosting some memorable contests. For the visitor, the layout of the course and its many natural vantage points offer the most amazing views of the action.
This historic course is a stern test for all players and notably only three previous Open winners here have been below par, including Greg Norman in his memorable triumph in 1993. |
